News Rundown #1 - January 10th, 2012
- Reba and Blake Shelton will be returning as hosts for this years ACM's, to be held on April 1st at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at 7pm (central time) on CBS. The duo struck a chord with the producers last year, to have them both return together to co-host again this year. No telling what will happen.
- Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum tied the knot with drummer Chris Tyrrell. The location, somewhere in upstate New York, and date have been kept private, but the newlywed couple released a video on www.ladyantebellum.com announcing the news. Click here to view the newlywed's announcement.
- Miranda and Blake are in the news quite a bit this week. NBC's The Voice announced this week that Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson will be joining Blake as guest mentors this season. Blake is one of four mentors on the show. So the time that Kelly Clarkson was with the powerhouse country duo on New Years Eve may have also been an opportunity to start brainstorming ideas on how to win for the show. Last season Reba was Blake's guest mentor. Also joining the cast of mentors on this season will be Alanis Morrisette, Lionel Richie, Jewel, Ne-yo, Babyface, and Robin Thicke. The new season of The Voice will premiere February 5th after the Superbowl.
- Brad Paisley's tour name has been changed. From his new single "Camoflauge" he wanted the tour to be called "Camobunga," (if you are a Ninja Turtles fan, you'll get the reference) but in all reality it just didn't fit. After seeing the sketches come to life, he felt the tour name "The Virtual Reality World" fit better. After-all Paisley says that concert goers, and even the band can escape from reality for two hours.
